Frequently asked questions of slag dryers

Question 1: Why is the feeding port blocked in Slag Drying Process ?

Reply: Because the slag has a certain humidity and the particle size is not uniform. Under these conditions, it is easy to cause clogging and even the burning out of the lifting plate. There are two tips to solve this problem:

1. The operator should check the feeding status to avoid the big size slag lumps from entering into the slag dryer.

2. The thermocouple should be installed at the flue pipe to monitor the temperature.

Question 2: Why is a crackling sound inside the slag dryer?

Reply: There are two reasons:

Firstly, the material in the dryer is blocked. When the material is blocked, we have to immediately shut down the machine for cleaning.

Secondly, the temperature of the dryer is too high, causing the burning inside the equipment. When the temperature of the dryer is too high, we must reduce the fuel supply, so that the temperature of the equipment is reduced to meet the drying requirements.

Question 3: What should we do if the dried slag cannot meet the humidity requirement?

Reply: Firstly, please reduce the wet slag feeding quantity. Secondly, check the inside status of the slag dryer. Finally, increase the heat supply.
