In actual production, incidents of harm to crops or soil caused by the use of untreated or unripe chicken manure by farmers often occur. So, how to scientifically treat and decompose chicken manure, and how to ensure fertilizer efficiency? An associate researcher pointed out in an interview with reporters that bedding feeding is a common small-scale broiler breeding method. The bedding feeding and chicken manure are fed in and out together, and after the chicken is released, the bedding feeding and chicken manure are composted and fermented together. This method can save time, labor, and achieve good manure treatment.
The expert introduced that using bedding to raise chickens refers to spreading some wood shavings, sawdust, or crop straw segments (such as corn and rice straw) in the chicken coop before the chicks enter the coop, and then placing the chickens on the bedding for breeding. The bedding can not only allow chickens to peck at it, but also synergistically ferment with chicken manure to treat manure. When the broilers are ready for slaughter, the breeders will clean the pens uniformly and compost the bedding and chicken manure together without adding any auxiliary materials. The composting temperature can reach 55 ℃ to 65 ℃ and be maintained for about 7 days to harmless the chicken manure. After 45 to 50 days of fermentation (determined by temperature and fermentation process), it can fully decompose and become high-quality farmyard fertilizer. If we want to produce commercial organic fertilizers, it is necessary to further process and adjust the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.
"Completely decomposed farmyard manure is usually used as base fertilizer," The expert said. After fertilization, plowing should be done within 24 hours, avoiding rainy days for fertilization, in order to achieve better results. However, the release of fertilizer efficiency in rural areas is relatively slow. Considering crop demand, it is advisable to supplement chemical fertilizers appropriately.
Some farmers have the habit of sun drying chicken manure before composting. They think that sun drying can reduce the harmful substances in chicken manure, but this is actually unscientific. The expert pointed out that sun drying chicken manure is only a process of water evaporation, which can easily produce odor and is harmful to the environment. In addition, the fertilizer efficiency of sun dried chicken manure will also be reduced.
Under limited conditions, using bedding to raise broiler chickens is a cost-effective and easy to operate method, which is beneficial for the fermentation of chicken manure and can be considered an economical breeding method.
After the fermentation of chicken manure, the moisture content is still about 40%-50%, and it is too wet to be packed into bags or being made into organic fertlizer. Then the suitable chicken manure dryer machine is necessary.
Chicken Manure Dryer machine by Sunco Machinery is specially designed for drying high humidity chicken manure and fermented chicken manure. For drying high humidity chicken manure with moisture content up to about 75%-80%, much heat will be needed, and it means that the fuel consumption will be higher. What is more, the fresh chicken manure is sticky, and it is easier to adhere on the inner wall the dryer drum.
For drying fermented chicken manure with moisture content about 40%-50% which is loose, not only the related fuel consumption is much less, but also the drying performance will be much better.
Sunco Machinery can design and supply chicken manure dryer machine which capacity varies from 1 t/h to 12 t/h as your actual need, welcome you contact and visit us for detail.
