How to separate the manure from bedding sand for dairy cows ?

For many dairy cows farms, the owners use sand as bedding for the dairy cows. After some time, the bedding sand will become dirty quickly.

When use sand as bedding for dairy cows, surely some cow manure will be mixed with the bedding sand. Then how to recycle the bedding sand, and meantime to separate the manure from the sand accordingly ?

After some days' use, the bedding sand moisture content is up to about 30-40%, in order to recycle the sand, its moisture content shoule be less than 10%.  Then, how to get rid of the water and dry the wet bedding sand quickly ?

For the sand dryer, enough heat is one key factor to achieve the targeted drying capacity, and the related fuel choices can be coal, firewood, diesel, natural gas, etc, and you can  choose the most economical fuel as actual need.

Then how to separate the manure from the bedding sand ?

Near the discharging end of the Silica sand dryer, there are induced fan and Cyclone Dust Separator.

After being dried in the silica sand dryer, the cow manure also become dry, and the dry cow manure is rather light, meantime the sand is much more heavier than dry cow manure.

Under the action of Induced fan, the exhaust air and dry cow manure is sucked out and come into cyclone dust separator, then the dry cow manure is separated out from the exhasut air, falls down to the bottom of cyclone dust separator, and finally come out through the bottom wind closing device.

The exhaust air goes out through the top of cyclone dust separator, and then pass through the induced fan, then goes into chimney.
