Description of 50 TPH Slag Drying Machine

Sunco Machinery can design and supply capacity 50 t/h slag drying machine, and the size of the dryer is diameter 1.9m, length 18m.


Part a. Features of Slag

1.Heavy Material, its loose bulk density up to about 1900kg/m3.

Part 3. Key Points for the design of the rotary slag dryer.

1.The burner and hot air furnace system can supply enough heat for the slag drying process.

2.The inner structure of slag dryer should can disperse the sand sufficiently, so that there is more heating contact area between the wet sand and high temperature air, thus can have higher heat exchanging efficiency.

3.It can supply enough drying time.

4.It can supply enough drying space.

5.It can supply enough water evaporation space.

6.The water vapor can be sucked out of the dryer in time by Induced fan.


Part 4. Description of 50 TPH Slag Drying Machine.

The quoted input capacity 50 t/h slag dryer’s diameter is 1.9m, Length is 18m. Its inner space is about 46 m3.

The loose bulk density of slag sand is 1900 kg/m3, then the volume of 50 tons slag sand is about 26 m3.

For drying slag sand, usually the ratio between sand volume and dryer inner volume is 1: 6.

It means that in working, about 45 m3 / 6 = 7.5m3 slag sand keeping inside the slag dryers.

It takes about 15 minutes for the slag sand to pass through the dryer machine quoted, and it means that the sand drying time inside the dryer is about 15 minutes.

As a result, in one hour, about 7.5 m3 x (1 hour/15 minutes) = 7.5 m3 x 4 = about 30 m3 sand can be processed and dried by the dryer machine. 


Based on the above calculation, the quoted slag dryer can achieve the targeted input capacity 50 tons per hour.
