Wood Fired Hot air furnace for wood shavings dryer

The suitable hot air furnace is a important factor for the wood shavings dryer, and it will influence the production efficiency of the dryer significantly. Sunco Machinery specially designed one new type wood fired hot air furnace for the wood shaving drying machine.

For the wood shavings dryer, it is to use high temperature flue gas to heat and dry the wet material quickly and continuously, in order to achieve the targeted drying capacity, enough heat is necessary.  In other words, the fuel consumption cost occupies much of the operation cost of the wood shavings drying system.

For the owner of wood shavings drying project, usually they have much waste wood such as branches, bark, etc as a waste.  If can use these wood waste as fuel, then can significantly reduce the production cost.

Sunco Machinery created one new type wood fired hot air furnace for the wood shavings dryer. Not only it can burn the wood sufficiently, but also it can avoid the sparks and flames into the rotary cylinder, and avoid the fire issues accordingly.

For the traditional hot air furnace which use coal as fuel, it is not suitable for the wood shavings dryer/wood chips dryer. Some suppliers suggest that put one heat exchanger inside the hot air furnace. The air is inside the heat exchanger, and the fire is outside the heat exchanger. The air is heated by the fire, and the air is clean air without spark. But the fatal problems of the heat exchanger is that it has a very low heat efficiency, and it will be a big loss of the energy.
