Wood Powder Dryer/Sawdust Dryer

Wood Powder Dryer also is called Rotary Sawdust Dryer is ideal for drying all kinds of biomass materials such as wood shavings, wood chips, sawdust, etc. Wood Powder Dryer/Sawdust Dryer mainly includes rotary drum dryer,air duct tube, burner, chimney, draft fan, etc.

Wood Powder Dryer /Sawdust Dryer mainly has two types: Airflow Sawdust Dryer and Rotary Drum Type Sawdust dryer. 

Airflow sawdust dryer consists of hot air furnace and some flash air duct, cyclone separator, induced fan.  Under the action of induced fan, the sawdust moving speed inside the air pipe is more than 15 m/s together with hot flue gas.  As with very short time the sawdust will pass through the air ducts and come out, much of the water still is not evaporated into vapor, and meantime much of heat is lost.  What is more, for the biomass material such as sawdust, it is inner water, and it needs enough long time to get rid of the water gradually.   In other words, in order to sufficiently dry the saw dust, will need to dry the sawdsut several times.  In one word, the invest cost of airflow sawdust dryer is less, but its drying capacity and heat efficiency is rather low.  It is only for small capacity sawdust drying project.

Rotary Drum type Sawdust dryer by Sunco Machinery is ideal for drying wood powder in large quantity. For the Sawdust drying system, the key equipment is rotary sawdust dryer. There are many welding lifting plates with certain slope insiude the cyclinder. When the dryer drum is rotating, the wet  sawdust is scattered and lifted up and dowm, meantime to be pushed to the discharge end of the sawdust dryer machine.  When the sawdust passing through the dryer cyclinder, the wet sawdust not only is heated by hot drum body, but also to be heated by high temperature flue gas.

Sunco Machinery created one new type triple pass rotary sawdust dryer: With less length, but can supply much longer drying time.  During the drying process, the sawdust pass through the dryer drum 3 times, and come to the high temperature zone two times.  Its energy consumption is less, its drying capacity is higher.  Within one time drying for about 20-25 minutes, the moisture content of sawdust can be reduced to be less than 15% or as need.
