What is a Rotary Slag Dryer ?

Rotary slag dryer is mainly composed of components such as rotary drum, induced draft equipment, high-speed dispersal equipment, lifting plates, self cleaning device, transmission device, conveying equipment, hot air stove, motor and reducer, support frame, and sealing device, etc.

This type of slag dryer machine has the advantages of reasonable design, excellent production, stable drying performance, advanced technology, high output capacity, low energy consumption, less land occuptation area, and high degree of mechanization.

1. The wet slag is transported to the hopper by input belt conveyor or bucket elevator, and then enters the feeding end through the feeding pipeline through the feeding machine of the hopper.

2. The slope of the feeding pipeline should be greater than the natural inclination angle of the material, so that the material can smoothly flows into the minerial slag dryer machine.

3. The slag dryer cylinder is a rotating cylinder that is slightly inclined to the horizontal line. The material is added from the higher end, and the heat carrier enters from the lower end, forming a countercurrent contact with the material slag. There are also heat carriers and materials flowing together into the cylinder.

4. As the dryer cylinder rotating, the material slag moves to the lower end under the action of gravity. During the forward movement of the wet material in the dryer cylinder, it is directly or indirectly fed by a heat carrier, allowing the wet slag to dry and then sent out throughby  belt conveyor or screw conveyor at the discharge end.

5. The inner wall of the slag dryer cylinder is equipped with a lifting board, which is used to scatter materials slags, increasing the heat contact area between the material slag and the hot airflow, in order to improve the drying efficiency.

6. After passing through the slag dryer machine, in the exhaust air, there is some fine dust, then goes into the cyclone separator, and the most of the fine dust is collected, after that the exhaust air goes into atmpsphere.

If needs to further reduce the dust content of exhaust gas, it should also be discharged after passing through a pulse bag filter or wet dust collector.
