Drying Machine for light and small wood chips

For drying light and small wood chips in large capacity, Sunco Machinery developed one new type wood chips dryer machine, and it is developed and optimized on the base of traditional rotary drum dryer.

New type wood chips dryer also is called sawdust dryer, wood shavings dryer, etc, and it is suitable for drying similar biomass material such as wood chips, wood shavings, saw dust, hay, grass, etc.

For small and thin wood chips, it is rather light. For example, for the dimension about 2-3mm small wood chips, its loose bulk density is only about 50kg per cubic meter. Thus, for 1000 kgs such wood chips, its volume is up to about 20 cubic meter.

What is more, for the smal wood chops, it is inner water which needs enough time to heat and dry it sufficiently and gradually.

Key Points for the design of one unit of successful wood chips dryer machine:

01. Should can supply enough drying time;

02. Should can supply enough drying space and water evaporation space for the wood chips ;

03. Wood chips should can pass through the dryer cylinder smoothly in time, especially to avoid some of wood chips is stuck at the inlet end of the dryer. As the inlet end of the dryer is connected to the hot air furnace, and it is high temperature zone. If some of wood chips is stuck here, and its temperature will rise quickly and then would cause fire. 

(Near the inlet end of the dryer, our design there is Overflow hopper which is used to overcome this problems.)

04. The inner design of the dryer should be reasonable which can help to disperse the wood chips sufficiently, then make sure there is enough contact area between the hot air and wood chips, thus the wood chips can be heated by the hot air sufficiently, and we can have better heat exchanging efficiency.
