Working Principle of Silica Sand Dryer Machine

What is the Working Principle of Silica Sand Dryer Machine ?

>>> Conveyed by belt conveyor or bucket elevator to the mechanical feeding hopper, the wet silica sand goes into the feeding inlet end of the dryer by a feeding device through a feeding pipe;

>>> The obliquity of the feeding pipe is greater than that of the sand, so the sand can slip into the dryer easily.

>>> The wet silica sand and hot air can enter into the dryer from the same feeding end of the dryer,which is called co-current air flow drying process;

>>> They also can be fed into the rotary sand dryer from different ends of the dryer machine, which is called count-current air flow drying process;

>>> When the silica sand dryer is rotating, the wet sand inside the dryer drum moves forward from the feeding end (higher end) to the discharging end (lower end) of the dryer, and during this period, wet sand is being dried by the high temperature air; then dried sand are discharged and conveyed away by belt conveyor or bucket elevator.

In a short word, the Working Principle of Silica Sand Dryer Machine is to use hot flue gas and the hot dryer drum body together to heat and dry the wet sand, and when the rotary sand dryer is rotating, the inner lifting plates shovel the wet quartz sand up and down, and moving to the outlet end of the sasnd dryers, durying this period, the wet sand is heated and dried sufficiently, and the water is evaporated into vapor, and finally get the dry sand as need. 

Usually the output moisture content of the dried sand can be less than 3% or as your actual need.  By adjusting the drying time inside the sand dryer cylinder, can have lower or higher moisture content accordingly.
