Usage and value of chicken manure ?

Chicken manure is the feces of chickens used as an organic fertilizer, especially for soil low in nitrogen.  Of all animal manures, it has the highest amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Chicken manure is sometimes pelletized for use as a fertilizer, and this product may have additional phosphorus, potassium or nitrogen added.

A segment of the intestine of a chicken. After the feed enters the body, its nutrients will not be fully absorbed. It contains a large amount of nutrients, suitable for use as organic fertilizer. However, chicken manure cannot be directly applied to the soil. It needs to be fully decomposed and undergo harmless treatment before it can be used on crops.

It's high in nitrogen whcih is great for vegging plants not flowering, but it can easily burn plants unless composted first. A small amount of dried chicken manure can be mixed in small concentrations directly into soil. Chicken manure is also a common ingredient in some mushroom compost recipes. Chicken manure also can be used as additives of animal feed.

THe fresh chicken manure is with big moisture content about 70-80%,and it is not suitable to be used as fertilizer or feed directly.  Fresh chicken manure contains 0.5% to 0.9% nitrogen,0.4% to 0.5% phosphorus, and 1.2% to 1.7 %potassium. One chicken produces approximately 8–11 pounds of manure monthly. Chicken manure can be used to create homemade plant fertilizer.
