Rotary Wood Shavings Dryer for animal bedding materials

In the market, Dry wood shavings with moisture content about 13-15% is used high quality animal bedding material for horse, chicken, cow, ship, and small pets,etc.

Wood shavings is made of wet wood logs with moisture content up to 50-60%, which is not only too wet, but also there is some harmful bacterial and worms. Thus, the wet wood shavings is not suitable to be used as animal bedding material directly.

Combinning the past more than 15 years' actual experience, Sunco Machinery specially develope one new type Rotary wood shavings dryer. It is to use high temperature flue gas to heat and dry the wet wood shavings continuously and quickly. 

Within about 20-30 minutes, then the moisture content (%) of wet material can be reduced to be 13-15%, then it can be packed into plastic bags for long term storage and sales.

What is more, during the high temperature drying process, the drying temperature is up to about 200-300 centigrades, and the harmful bacterials and worms also will be killed.

For the different end use of the dry wood shavings, the size and powder content also is different. For example, for horse which has big nose hole, if the dried wood shavings contain too much wood powder, then the horse is easy to breath the wood powder into its lung, and it is bad to the horse heathy.

In such situation, the size of wood shavings should be some bigger, and before to pack the dried wood shavings into plastic bags, needs to use vibrating screen to get rid of the wood powder as much as possible.

One whole unit of rotary wood shavings dryer system mainly consists of hot air system, feeding device, discharging device, rotary drum dryer, duct collection device, electric control device, etc. 

For the hot air system, its burner and furnace needs to burn fuel to generate enough heat for the wood shavings drying process. The normal fuel can be waste wood, diesel, coal, natural gas, etc.

Usually waste wood is the most economical fuel, anyway the clients can select the most economical one according to their actual situation.
