How to operate sand rotary dryer ?

For one successful sand rotary dryer, the right operation is rather necessary. 

In this article Sunco Machinery will illustrate how to operate sand rotary dryer with diesel bunrer, so as to have good sand drying performance and high heat efficiency.

01. Start the diesel burner and adjust it to be big fire.

02. Start the draft fan and pulse bag filter, then the dry high temperature air goes into the sand dryer drum to heat the dryer drum in advance about 20 minutes. 

03. When the inlet temperature of the dryer is about 200-250 centigrade, then output belt conveyor, rotary airlock valve, sand rotary dryer machine, input belt conveyor, mechanical feeding hopper one by one sequentially. 

(PS: At the beginning, please let the sand rotary dryer rotate with a lower speed.)

04. At the beginning, only feed a few wet sand into the sand rotary dryer drum continuously.

05. The feeding quantity of wet sand should be adjusted according to the dried sand situation, and gradually increase the feeding quantity of wet sand. 

(PS: For Mechanical Feeding hopper, it is with frequency conversion motor , by adjusting the rotation speed of the frequency conversion motor, can control the wet material feeding quantity. )

06. When the burner heat output and wet sand feeding quantity is certain, then by adjusting the rotation speed of the sand rotary dryer drum to the suitable point according to the output moisture content of the sand.

If the material output moisture content of sand is high, then can reduce the dryer rotation speed; otherwise, to increase the dryer rotation speed.

In one word, for one set of successful sand rotary dryer system, the proper operation is rather important to find one best balance point between wet sand feeding quantity, diesel burner heat output, sand rotary dryer rotation speed, etc, only in this way, the sand rotary dryer can achieve high drying sand capacity with less fuel consumption.
